What is AccessMyLan?
AccessMyLan is a secure remote access service that enables remote users to connect to their office network, applications and resources using a PC, Laptop, mobile phone or Internet browser. The service requires no additional hardware in the office network and is managed through an intuitive web interface. The service is charged monthly per-subscriber with no minimum contract period. Where is AccessMyLan hosted?
The AccessMyLan service is hosted in multiple data centers across three continents with multiple network interconnects for redundancy.
What are the technical requirements?
You need a Windows 2000 or later system, powered on 24 x 7 in your office network to host the VPN Agent.
The office must have an always-on Internet connection as the VPN Agent will maintain a permanent link to the AccessMyLan service cloud.
Remote Laptops and PCs using the VPN Client require Windows 2000(SP4), XP or Vista and a connection to the Internet.
ActiveSync access to Exchange requires a compatible handset such as Windows Mobile, Apple iPhone or Nokia S60 (E-series/N-Series).
Do I need a static IP Address?
The service does not need a static IP address (or a DNS entry) for the office Internet connection as the VPN Agent establishes connectivity from your network to the AccessMyLan service cloud.
What security is used by AccessMyLan?
The AccessMyLan services uses SSL/TLS and IPSec encryption to secure data on public networks and makes extensive use of Digital Certificates for entity authorization and establishment of security associations.
What support is included?
E-mail support is included as standard on all subscriptions.
Are there any traffic charges?
No traffic charges apply to AccessMyLan and there is no restriction on the volume of data transmitted on a VPN account.
What is included in the free trial?
The free trial provides a three user VPN with one VPN Agent. All Access Methods and features are available so you can setup users for access using laptop, PC, mobile phone and web access. If you wish to test high availability and disaster recovery features, please contact our support team who will enable additional VPN Agents on your trial.
Is there a usage restriction on the trial?
The trial has no restriction on the number of sessions or the volume of data transferred.
How do I convert from a trial?
By entering credit card details, your trial account is converted to a paying subscription. You do not have to re-install any software or change your VPN setup.
How much does the service cost?
The service cost is based on the number of registered users and is charged monthly in advance. Consult the pricing page for pricing details in your currency.
How do I pay?
Service subscription charges are applied monthly to your credit card. Enterprise customers have an option for monthly invoicing of subscription charges.
Is there a minimum signup period?
No. You many remove users or cancel your subscription at any time. Pre-payments on removed subscriptions are applied as credits to your next AccessMyLan bill. This provides the flexibility to add and remove users as your needs dictate.
How Are Charges Applied?
The VPN account is billed monthly in advance based on subscriptions in place. If you add new subscriptions during the month, the new subscriptions added are billed pro-rata in arrears at the next billing cycle. When a subscription is removed from the VPN, the value of the removed subscription is credited pro-rata in the next billing cycle.
